Villa Le Rose

14 Beds · 1 Halls for events · 110 Event seating capacity ·

Villa Le Rose is so much more than a simple country house; it is a stunning example of an aristocratic historical residence whose proximity to the city makes it one of the most beautiful Palazzos and Villas in Florence. Its 1,250 square metres, 7 bedrooms, extensive park, courtyard and swimming pool testify to its past grandeur, while guaranteeing all the comforts of its modern amenities.

The Villa is spread over three levels organised as follows:
The main floor represents a typical example of 18th-century architecture. It is completely decorated with frescoes and is dedicated to the reception areas. It features a ballroom, a living room with beautiful mural paintings, a study with a TV area, an elegant dining room, an extremely luxurious guest bathroom and other service areas. On the same level, there is also a magnificent double bedroom suite with its own bathroom and bathtub.

The fully air-conditioned first floor accommodates five double bedrooms each with their own en- suite bathroom with double sink, shower and bathtub, as well as a twin bedroom with a private bathroom. There are also other service areas on this floor.

The lower floor is entirely reserved for the enormous Tuscan-style kitchen with its ancient stone fireplace, dining table, various pantries and other functional spaces.

The private gardens outside are very distinctive, offering a host of quiet, panoramic spots from which enchanting views can be enjoyed while partaking in lunches, dinners or afternoon tea outdoors, or for simply savouring a moment of relaxation. A well-defined portion of the garden is designated for the swimming pool and the garden, which is also a typical example of the Italian style and was designed by renowned landscape architect Porcinai.

The history of a historical florentine villa
Villa Le Rose, a typical example of Medici architecture, which is particularly evident in the use of the grey ‘pietra serena’ sandstone, dates back to the 15th century when it was commissioned by Marquis Niccolò Antinori, a member of that illustrious family who is still involved in wine-making activities today. Various restructuring and restoration works were carried out on the Villa over the years, from the first lift installed in the 1940s to the swimming pool in the 1960s and concluding with the extensive restoration of the frescoes in 2004, giving the Villa its current appearance.
