Palazzo Ricca di Castelvecchio is a noble residence of significant artistic and cultural value, furnished throughout with original period pieces.
The history of Palazzo Ricca di Castelvecchio
Constructed at the beginning of the 18th century on the ruins of the ancient Castle of Bricherasio, the palazzo served as the primary home of the Ricca di Castelvecchio Counts for three centuries. Over time, the building underwent several expansions, with the final enlargement in 1910, executed in Italian Liberty or Art Nouveau style, designed by architect Ceresa.
The garden
The garden, facing south and bordered by walls from the ancient castle bastions, is relatively small, due to the palazzo’s location in the centre of the village. It features a rose garden, along with magnolia, palm, and beech trees.
