Masseria Mandrascate is a fortified farmhouse dating back to the 17th century, which represents a typical expression of a large Sicilian agricultural estate or ‘latifondium’ and is still perfectly preserved in its entirety.
Stables and warehouses, which have been carefully restored and now serve as reception rooms and spaces for multi-purpose hosting venues, surround the main terraced courtyard or ‘bagghiu’. Six ‘suites’, likewise converted from stables and warehouses and now equipped with all modern amenities, open onto the back courtyards, offering panoramic views of the countryside.
The large swimming pool, crafted with locally sourced stone, provides guests with breath-taking views of the picturesque landscape of central Sicily and is for their exclusive use. Daily life at the Masseria is animated by the presence of domestic animals and evidenced by the ongoing farm work which is necessary to maintain the farm’s agricultural operations, producing wheat, oil and wine.
